Angel Bear Nonprofit
Angel Bear Nonprofit provides comfort to children whose parents or loved ones are facing terminal illness.
A small bear. A big hug. A lasting comfort.
Due to all of the generous donors of Angel Bear, we have been able to help over 300 kids during their grief journey

August 31st, 2025, the Climb for the Grieving Kids Campaign donated $1,700 to Experience Camp, a free one-week camp for girls and boys who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. These camps are designed to be a safe environment where kids can explore their grief with peers and counselors who get it. Both Stella and Conor, her older brother, have been affiliated with the camp for 9 years.
This summer, Stella had the privilege of returning as a counselor for the first time. The week was full of Taylor Swift dance parties, friendship bracelets, and reading aloud Captain Underpants bedtime stories.
Additionally, Stella brought brand new stuffed animals for each camper in her bunk to take home.
Experience Camp is a reminder that grief does not have to be an isolated journey.

July 5th, 2024, was the 14 year anniversary of Carroll’s death. In honor of all that Evergreen Hospice has done for the Vogel/Knauer family, Stella and her loved ones delivered five laundry baskets of over 300 animals to Evergreen Hospice.
Brand new stuffed animals were purchased from 5 toy stores in the greater Seattle area.

The Evergreen Hospice communications team featured Angel Bear Nonprofit in their newsletter following the donation on July 5th.
Additionally, the Evergreen Hospice Campaign donated $500 to Experience Camps.
